Our lives constantly change and it’s apparent that my life shouldn’t be an uneventful one. My wife and I just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary and visited Hawaii. We got to snorkel, backpack the Kalalau trail, and – most importantly – Relax! The relaxing was short-lived, however. Once we got back, my wife got a viral infection (Similar to the flu) for which she got antibiotics. After it wasn’t getting better, they found that she had a different viral infection than most others and had to do a second round of antibiotics. If that wasn’t enough, she then got yet another infection a week later! On top of that, I caught bronchitis (And have it still 2 weeks later). Again, if that wasn’t enough, my wife tore her MCL during a soccer match. You’d think that was all that could occur in a two week period, but God apparently had other plans as we had both our Refrigerator/Freezer and our TV die! I guess the saying is certainly true, when it rains, it pours! Thankfully, Whitney and I have been able to grow and meet the challenges head on together. This is something that my latest wedding couple will have no problem doing in their future years as husband and wife.
Meet Jake & Hillary, physical and occupational therapists for Enloe Medical Center in Chico, CA. They are so alike and, yet, so different in so many ways. It’s been awesome getting to know the both of them through both Enloe events and having BBQ Bison burgers during a fun night of hanging out. Jake is a Royals fan and I’m a Giants fan (Both of us were keeping tabs on the games a week ago while at the wedding). You can even see the game playing in the background at Centerville while getting their getting ready photographs. I can’t wait to invite them over to watch the Giants stomp the Royals in the Series.
Their wedding was at Centerville Estates on a beautiful October day. The food from Special Times Catering was amazing; it’s always a pleasure working with Mindy, I just love how involved she is. It was a beautiful setting and complemented by a beautiful bride. This may seem a bit feminine coming from a guy, but I absolutely loved Hillary’s hairpiece! I loved being a part of the day (And not coughing once during the ceremony!) and look forward to the times we get to hang out with these two even more.
